Who is VonEtte?

Simply put, VonEtte Magazine is about “awesome women doing awesome things in the Bay Area and beyond.” Scandalous, savvy and smart, VonEtte, a biweekly online women’s magazine, brings the fury of West-Coast women to the world.  A stylish news source and entertainment guide, we’re into everything feminist, ferocious and fun, staying ahead of the curve, setting trends and blazing trails in fashion, art and music.  

VonEtte is a community of forward-thinking women—always hip to the next big thing. And while we adore high-fashion and celebrity, our content is geared toward real women making a real difference—we like to keep our readers independent, sassy and, in general, feeling good about themselves.

While VonEtte publishes a new batch of features and reviews every two weeks, keep checking in for our weekly calendar of not-to-be-missed events in the Bay Area, and stay updated on recent femme-news and issues with our daily blog and Twitter feed.

Submit to VonEtte

Every woman has a story to tell… why not you? We’re always looking for bright, creative writers with a passion and a pen. If you know of some female awesomeness that we should be aware of, submit your stories or pitch story ideas to julia@vonette.com.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Features (400-600 words) on:

• women entertainers, designers, artists, entrepreneurs, and activists
• woman-spearheaded projects, businesses, organizations and events
• women’s social and political and health issues
• Tech gadgets and beauty products
• Fashion trends
• Anything unique, quirky and strange… we live on the edge

Reviews (150-250 words) on:

• Music albums – new releases
• Books -new releases
• Films -cinema release or DVD release

Photography

An article would be nothing without an inspiring image! If you’re a photographer looking to build your portfolio or just happen to have caught an incredible shot of last weekend’s festival, concert or art show, we’d like to see your stuff. Show us all the fun we’re missing and submit high-resolution images (72 dpi or greater) with a 50-word max photo caption  (or a 250-word max event review) to julia@vonette.com.
